Merry Go Round

Nerine and I had our very own Scrapbooking Workshop at her house yesterday. Just the two of us, the four kids played really well together for about 5 hours!! I had a very productive time, I even set a card challenge for Nerine (check out her blog this week to see if she posts her creation - http://www.stampinaddiction.blogspot.com/ ).

Anyway this was one of my pages that I completed, I picked out the light bulbs in the merry go round for the title. I would like to say the idea was a Tammy original but I scrap-lifted one of my customers, Tascha, who used this idea for a stage!

Materials Used - Black CM Page, CM Disney Vacation Paper, CM Chiffon Vellum, SU Whisper White Craft Ink, SU Whimsical Alphabet.

Avryl in Black and White

Aaron and I are both having lots of fun playing with the new camera :) This photo is Aaron's masterpiece. Avryl wore some of the ballet clothes that our wonderful friends the Purton's gave her, for the first time. Of course you can't wear ballet clothes and not have Bella Dancerella on TV! And to make the whole ballet experience complete it helps to read a ballet book at the same time!!

Our wonderful little girl of contrasts - it seems her two favourite things at age three are Trains and Ballet!

BTW she made me very proud by remembering to do a drawing for Reigan to say thank you for the clothes!

Garden Photo Shoot

Some of you already know Aaron and I bought a new camera for our trip to Europe (taking advantage of Duty Free). It arrived on Friday and I had my turn playing with it yesterday. I actually took Avryl's Harrods Bear outside to play around, since she informed me she didn't want her photo taken, but toddler mentality won the day and I was not allowed to play with Avryl's bear without her! Fortunately she decided she was in the mood to have photos taken after all and I even managed to score a few of her not posing! She got sick of the photo shoot with her bear fairly quickly and started doing some gardening, the promise of a trip in to see the Ghan arrive kept her clean!
These are my favourite 2 photos of the 130 odd that I took (I only kept 50)!

Kisses

OK all you girls who have been teasing me about saving my scraps (you know who you are:)), you now need to eat your words! This page is done with nothing but scraps from one of my other G.C. pages! Added to a black page with a touch of Kindy Glitz, the photos speak for themselves.

Avryl loved the Polar Bears at Seaworld, so much so that she decided to blow them kisses!

Avryl and Kiara's Ballet

This post is for you Mum! Avryl is no longer a 'Couch Potato' Ballerina but she ahs watched it so many times she knows the words.

Bella Ballerina DVD was Avryl's birthady present from my Mum, when it first arrived she sat glued to the T.V.! Now she has her friends up doing ballet with her.

Shannon came over with Kiara and Liam for dinner as a distraction while Michael is away. Liam joined in at first as well but lost interest quicker than the girls!

More Scrapbooking....

This is more photos of our Gold Coast Trip. I opened up the new CM Jewel Travel Paper Pack for this page. The main photo is matted with CM Mod Storybox and CM Cranberry. The vellum accent is from the Expressions of Travel Vellum that was released recently.

There's nothing fancy here, all about the photos. I've been doing some very basic layouts for this holiday, there are so many photos and so much to write there just doesn't seem to be room for extras! Or maybe I'm just in the mood for quick pages!

Sleeping Beauty

I took this photo about 40 minutes ago! Avryl fell asleep in the time it took me to go out to the washing line and bring in 2 loads of washing. No dinner, no bath! She has been waking us up at 5am for the last few weeks as well as having nightmares every couple of nights (any suggestions anyone???), on top of all this our little darling thinks she doesn't needto have a daytime sleep anymore! It obviously all caught up on her tonight...... I wonder when she will wake hungry?????

Avryl and Lily

I've been having a lovely time scrapbooking the last two days (should really be studying, but needed a break!). I'll post pics of the completed pages over the next few days when I take pics in the daylight but wanted to post this one now.
Avryl and Lily had such fun seeing each other again at Dreamworld, it's going to take up several pages in the album! These photos just captured the way they play together.
I've used Title Stickers from several different packs, Baby Gril Soft Stickers and Disney Vacation Paper. I liked one of the sayings from the Celebration Vellum so copied it on to a baby girl sticker in an attempt to keep it all flowing.
Mel you'll have to send me a photo of your scrapbook page in Lily's album.....please?

New Scrapbooking Pages

Scrapbooking of our trip to the GC in April has commenced!! You'llsee lots of pics of this in the comming weeks!
HARBOUR TOWN SHOPPING CENTRE
This page was sooo easy..... just use the largest CM Square Punch to cut out your coloured squares, arrange them on your black page, mat your photos and make a journalling box!!!

WAITING

Another nice and easy layout, this one uses paper from the now deleted "Mod" Collection on a true 12 x 12 page. The Title is done with Mod ABC (still available) and the journalling was done with SU White geltip pen.

THE BOOKS LIED

Something has gone wrong here and the picture has rotated the "wrong" way! CM has recently released another new punch called Celebration Micropunch, I wanted to try it out and found it made a great border. The papers used here are from the CM 'shades of red' pack and the deleted CM Done With One "Partytime".

This page happened after I was cleaning out my craft room and found the bedtime routine we had for Avryl - obviously at around the 4 month mark because she was to be wrapped. I had a laugh at how naive we were thinking that by following a routine it would not be a drama getting her to bed now at age 3! She is such a staller!!! Hence THE BOOKS LIED has become my title in the middle of my journalling by using a Bold Tip CM pen.

Budding Musicians

An impromptu concert when the Purton kids dropped over my sunglasses gives an indication of what happens when Aaron tries to play guitar! This is an old clip (29th June) but I wanted to try out uploading a video! The music kit was a Christmas present from Nanma - I think it may be one that needs to live at Nanma's house when we move :)

Training Wheels Off!

Getting the "feel" of balancing on the bike with no training wheels - feet down!
Feet on the pedals but Daddy was needed to help with confidence balancing!

Avryl thought her bike needed a rest! It lasted all of a minute and she was back on again!

No help from Daddy now!

Off, off and away she goes! Just needs to get stopping down pat in this photo!
By the time we got home she had stopping down pat - only had one fall to learn to put her foot down straight after she puts the brakes on!
Isn't she fantastic! We will have to work on starting though - at the moment Aaron holds it steady and she says "go" and puts both feet on the pedals at once!

Jumping Pillow at Free Spirit Resort Darwin

Avryl contemplates getting on the jumping pillow!
Mummys come in handy when you are getting your confidence and need a bit of 'protection' from boisterous boys.

Walking on to the jumping pillow was a bit of a challenge as there were so many 'big' kids on it.

Jumping with Mummy

Mindil Beach Market 17th August 2008

We headed up to Darwin this week-end to see James who was on a course there. We met up with him for dinner on Saurday night and decided to stay another night to go to the markets (could be the last time before we move back to QLD). We had a great week-end. Staying at a caravan park in our tent since accomodation in Darwin is rediculously priced at this time of the year. Turned out it's one of the best places we've stayed. Avryl loved the jumping pillow (I'll post some pics of this next!).

Sunset on the beach - what a place to eat dinner! We love the choices there for dinner, almost every nationality there.

Aaron and avryl going down the Giant "Jumping Castle" slide. Avryl didn't think she could climb up and go down by herself until Aaron told her it was time to get off!

Fish Feeding

This is a double page layout I completed recently. I've used the BLush Blooms and Cherish Paper Packs from CM. If you want more setails of the products I've used email me on tammybetts@aapt.net.au

I am very "behind" in my scrapbook album for Avryl - these are the photos I took when my Nanna visited us in April!

Gunlom Falls Pics

On the advise of our friend Mandy, we went to Gunlom Falls in Kakadu last week-end. It was great to get out for a bush walk and test out Avryl's stamina! The walk is classed as "Difficult" and as you can see in the photos it was a real rock climb for Avryl, but she managed to get 2/3 of the way up before she asked to hop in the backpack. The result of the walk was a picturesque swimming hole. Avryl and I braved the water while Aaron guarded our gear. It was a matter of getting numb enough to go in further!

Introduction

Hello Everyone,

I've been inspired by many friends who have started blogs to do this as a way of sharing our family photos and my craft projects!

Hopefully you'll enjoy it and I will manage to keep it updated regularly!
